Self Catering Accommodation in Wilderness - Endless Sandy Beaches
l'Azur Self Catering Apartment situated in the Wilderness is
surrounded by an ecologically unique landscape of rivers,
lagoons, saltwater lakes and wetlands.  Once home to the
nomadic Khoi-San tribes this unique area is both the
adventure seeker and nature lover's paradise.
The famous "Map of Africa" viewpoint at the mouth of the
Kaaimans River offers a panoramic view of the fascinating
landscape of the Wilderness resort with its endless sandy
beaches, mighty breakers, meandering rivers, protected
lagoons and densely forested mountain slopes.

The area offers the adventure seeker many unique
experiences such as paragliding, abseiling, an unbelievable
forest canopy tour and ocean safaris.  For the nature lover
there are extensive river and mountain trails, accessible by
foot, horseback or mountain bike - the vast lakes are ideal
for canoing, sailing and fishing.  A trip on the Outeniqua
Choo-Tjoe, running between George, through the
Wilderness and on to Knysna is the perfect way in which to
experience the unrivalled beauty of the Wilderness.

The nearby town of Oudtshoorn lies within the Klein Karoo
and was once famed as the "the ostrich feather capital of
the world".  Oudtshoorn lies within the wine region of the
Klein Karoo and nearby estates offer wine tasting to the
visitor.  Nearby at the Cango Wild Life Ranch you will find
the opportunity to view rare species such as the white
Bengal tiger, jaguar, puma and cheetahs, all up close!  The
numerous ostrich farms offer the opportunity for ostrich
rides and the world famous Cango Caves, 30km away at the
foothills of the Swartberg, offer a breathtaking experience.
